Sigmate

Installation guides

iPhone Mail

  1. In Sigmate, open your signature, tap Install, then Copy signature.
  2. Open Settings › Apps › Mail › Signature (older iOS: Settings › Mail › Signature). Delete the existing text.
  3. Tap and hold, then Paste.
  4. Shake your iPhone and tap Undo on “Undo Change Attributes”. This removes the formatting iOS adds when pasting. If it still looks off, shake and undo once more.
  5. Send yourself a test email.

Images show only when they are hosted on the web (Sigmate Pro does this for you). A photo pasted directly into the signature box becomes an attachment.

Gmail

  1. The Gmail phone app only stores plain-text signatures, so install once from a computer.
  2. Get the signature to your computer: in Sigmate tap Install › Gmail › “Email it to myself” or create a signature link (Pro).
  3. On the computer, select the whole signature and copy it.
  4. Gmail › Settings (gear) › See all settingsSignature › Create new › paste › choose it for new emails and replies › Save Changes.
  5. On your phone: Gmail app › Settings › your account › Signature settings › turn Mobile Signature off. Gmail then uses your desktop signature for every message sent from the app.

Phone check: after step 5, send yourself an email from the Gmail app and confirm the signature appears. If it does not, the iPhone Mail app is the reliable way to send a rich signature from a phone (guide above). Size note: Gmail rejects signatures over roughly 100 KB, which is why Sigmate keeps animated photos around 60 KB.

Outlook

  1. Get the signature to your computer (email to yourself, signature link, or the .html file).
  2. Select the whole signature and copy it.
  3. New Outlook / Outlook on the web: Settings › Mail › Compose and reply › paste › name it › pick it for new messages and replies › Save. Classic Outlook: File › Options › Mail › Signatures.
  4. The Outlook phone app only stores a plain-text signature. Paste Sigmate’s plain-text version there if you send from the app.

Apple Mail on Mac

  1. Open the signature link or .html file in Safari, select all, copy.
  2. Mail › Settings › Signatures › choose your account › + › paste.
  3. Uncheck Always match my default message font.
  4. Drag the signature onto the account so it is available in new messages.
